1st October—Chaucer Opening Evening. 13th October, Steve Robinson, Head of Chaucer to meet Y6 Parents.
Tuesday 6th October will be Individual photo day. If you have younger children not yet in nursery or school and would like a family photograph, come to the Infant Hall between 8.45 and 9.30am.
FREE SCHOOL MEALS—On Thursday 8th October at 3.25pm Free School Meals Service is coming to the school to promote our school dinners to parents. It is also a chance for parents to sign up for free school meals if they are entitled to them and also get the necessary help and advice from a trained member of staff. There will also be an opportunity for all parents to sample the food from school dinners and to look at the menu.
Our Y3’s will be going to Eyam on 7th October and Y4’s on the 8th October. They will be leaving school at 8.55am so need to arrive promptly to avoid missing the coach, arriving back around 3pm.
F2 and KS1 Harvest Assembly is to be held on Thursday 22nd October, please get your tickets early to avoid disappointment.
Friday 23rd October is closed to pupils for staff training and half term is Monday 26th to Friday 30th October 2009.
DINNER MONEY— Please be aware that from Monday 2nd November, all dinner monies must be paid for in advance on the first day of each week. Money will not be accepted on any other day, so a packed lunch must be provided if this is not possible. Please also send the correct money wherever possible. Thank you.
Many thanks to the parents who provided updated contact details when Mrs Meruz and Miss Kirkbride were on the playground recently. If you have not checked that your details in the office are still correct, can I please ask you to do so.
Class 10 and 11 are working with an organisation called Primary Colours this term. This is an exciting project which will celebrate our cultural diversity by encouraging children to look at their family roots. It will culminate with the children having their efforts published on the Primary Colours website. More details will follow for those concerned.
