Friday 23rd October is closed to pupils for staff training, and half term is Monday 26th to Friday 30th October 2009, RETURNING TO SCHOOL ON MONDAY 2ND NOVEMBER 2009, HAVE A SAFE AND HAPPY BREAK. 

 

SEN REVIEWS—will be on the first week back after half-term.  Please look out for your invitation to discuss your child’s progress and try to attend, as your child matters!

POPPIES- will be on sale in school after half term, please give as generously as possible for this good cause.

 

PARENT’S EVENING-is to be held on the 10th November, please keep this date free in your diary. Invitations are being sent out when we return from the half-term break.

 

SCHOOL CHOIR– will be performing at the Sheffield Arena on Wednesday 25th November.  This is a very special yearly event and you can buy tickets at the Arena box office.

 

On Thursday 5th November, Birkdale Saxophone Group will be performing in our assembly. 

 

Scholastic Book Fair—A big thank you to those who attended our Book Fair in September.  We took £477 which means that you have helped us to receive £176 in free books for school.  The next Book Fair will be in March and will be the one with the vouchers!  If anyone would like to help organise this, please see Mrs Burkinshaw.

 

School photographs—please be aware that the last day to order your photo through school is Thursday 12th November, no orders will be taken after this date.

 

New Reception Door—Parents of children in the Reception class please remember to use the new door at the front of the school from Monday 2nd November.

 

Tuck Shop—will now be pay on the day, 50p. for 2 items, Wednesday and Friday as usual.  Do not send money into the office, pay at the trolley as you buy. 

 

Anti-Bullying Week (16th to 20th November)—School will be joining the rest of the country in promoting anti-bullying.  We will be holding a lot of exciting activities for children to participate in, around the prevention of bullying.

 

Attendance—from 9th to 13th November, the school will be encouraging excellent attendance through the involvement of parents and their children in activities in school.  Further information will be provided to parents and children after half term.

 

DINNER MONEY REMINDER— from Monday 2nd November, all dinner monies must be paid for in advance on the first day of each week.  Money will not be accepted on any other day, so a packed lunch must be provided if this is not possible.  Please also send the correct money wherever possible.  Thank you.
