An Artsmark is awarded to schools who show a commitment to the full range of arts - music, dance, drama and art & design.

 

An Artsmark school:

  • has an overarching policy for the arts  
  • provides opportunities for pupils to participate in the arts in curriculum time  
  • provides out-of-hours arts opportunities for pupils  
  • provides teachers with continuing professional development  
  •  shares achievements in the arts within the school and with parents and the community  

has partnerships with arts organisations and arts practitioners

Active Mark

 

Activemark is an accreditation scheme for the primary sector that recognises and rewards a school for its commitment to promoting the benefits of physical activity and offering good physical activity provision.

 

Healthy Schools
 
National Healthy School Status is achieved within a rigorous quality assurance framework. All schools achieving National Healthy School Status must have met national criteria using a whole school approach across the four core themes.
 

Basic Skills Award

 

The Quality Mark is about recognising minimum standards in teaching literacy and numeracy. Attainment of this award is normally based on a close partnership between the Agency, Local Authority and schools.
