Promoting Good Behaviour

School as a family

We place a high value in creating a family atmosphere in school.  We have many initiatives within this, including pairing up children from Y6 and Y1 to share reading books.  We also mix children from different year groups in Golden Time (see below) and have older ‘playground friends’ operating in the infant playground.

Caught Being Good

Any staff can ‘catch someone being good’! This may be a simple act of kindness around school or a considerate comment made by a child.  Their action is celebrated in front of the other children with a photo on the wall and a sticker.

Golden Time

Golden time is enjoyed by all children whose behaviour has earned it during the course of the week: half an hour of fun shared with children of different ages across school.

School Council

Our thriving School Council plays an active part in school life.
